Tracy Celebrates 1 Year with Nicholas Associates Group!
This month, we’re celebrating a fantastic milestone for Tracy Macnish, our Group HR Manager, who has now completed her first year with the Nicholas Associates Group. Over the past 12 months, Tracy has played a pivotal role in strengthening our people strategy – enhancing employee engagement, supporting leadership development, and driving initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive culture across all areas of the business. Her dedication and expertise have made a lasting impact, helping us create an environment where colleagues can thrive and succeed together.
To mark the occasion, we caught up with Tracy to reflect on her first year, the highlights so far, and what’s on the horizon for the Group’s people strategy moving forward.
What has been the most rewarding part of your first year at Nicholas Associates Group?
The most rewarding part has been building strong relationships across the business and seeing how initiatives like Career Pathways and the introduction of our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) are already enhancing colleagues’ experiences and supporting their development.
How have you helped to support and develop colleagues across the Group over the past 12 months?
Over the past year, I’ve supported colleagues by working closely with managers to address people-related challenges and by introducing Career Pathways. This initiative has provided greater clarity around development options and helped create an environment where personal and professional growth are encouraged across the Group.
What HR initiatives or projects are you most proud of leading or being part of this year?
I’m particularly proud of launching the HRIS, which is streamlining processes and improving access to information, as well as introducing Career Pathways, which give colleagues a clearer view of progression and growth opportunities across the Group.
What do you enjoy most about working in HR at a group-wide level?
What I’ve enjoyed most is connecting with people across the Group and helping to bring greater consistency to how we support colleagues. It’s rewarding to see how HR can strengthen our culture, create opportunities for growth, and ensure people feel supported to perform at their best.
Looking ahead, what are your priorities for strengthening people and culture across the Group in year two?
In year two, my focus will be on building on the strong foundations we’ve established. A key priority is enhancing the employee journey, from preboarding and onboarding through to ongoing development, to continue attracting and retaining great people. I also want to empower our managers to develop and nurture new talent, expand career development opportunities, strengthen benefits and wellbeing, and ensure smooth workforce transitions. Above all, we’ll continue working to create a people-first culture where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
A huge congratulations to Tracy on her one-year anniversary with the Group. Her passion for people, strategic insight, and commitment to our values have been instrumental in shaping a stronger, more connected organisation. We’re incredibly proud of all she’s achieved in her first year and look forward to seeing the continued growth and success her leadership will bring in the years ahead.
