Protecting our workers and our clients

Our stringent standards and commitment to compliance and workers’ rights mean we will always protect our clients’ reputation. We feel strongly that ethical employment and compliant working practices are an absolute given for all of our partnerships.

Our clients have long had the reassurance that we not only comply with all employment legislation but often adopt it ahead of implementation – and frequently shape or exceed it.

Fully accredited

Fully accredited

We are fully accredited and have the highest standards of compliance.

We are licensed by the Gangmasters Licencing Authority (GLAA) and members of the Association of Labour Providers (ALP).

The GLAA works in partnership to protect vulnerable and exploited workers. Its licensing scheme regulates businesses who provide workers to the fresh produce supply chain and horticulture industry, to make sure they meet the employment standards required by law.

As a licence holder we are assessed against GLAA licensing standards which cover health and safety, accommodation, pay, transport and training, and that tax, National Insurance and VAT regulations are met.

  • Workers receive fair treatment, the pay, benefits and conditions they are entitled to.
  • Labour providers are not undercut by those who pay less than the minimum wage or avoid tax. Industry standards are raised.
  • Labour users can check their workers come from a legitimate provider and are informed if their labour provider’s licence is revoked.
  • Consumers can be assured that their food has been picked and packed in an ethical environment. Illegal activities which lead to a loss of public revenue – income tax, VAT and NI – are reduced.

Stronger Together

We support the Stronger Together initiative, which aims to reduce modern slavery, particularly hidden forced labour, labour trafficking and other third party exploitation of workers.

The initiative provides bespoke training solutions, access to a network of expert advisers and a wide range of resources and good practise toolkits for tackling modern slavery.
