Tackling Knife Crime Through Community Spirit

At Nicholas Associates Group, we believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting causes that create lasting impact. Recently, we were honoured to support a charity football match held in memory of Harvey Willgoose, a young life tragically taken when he was fatally stabbed at school.

The event brought people together not only in remembrance but also to raise vital funds for Harvey’s Hub, a youth initiative established in Harvey’s name. Harvey’s Hub was created to tackle the devastating impact of knife crime by providing young people with a safe, positive, and inspiring space to spend time together. Its mission is to help young people connect, grow, and rebuild community spirit, while also giving them opportunities to learn new skills and access the support they need. Through Harvey’s Hub, his legacy will live on.

We were proud to sponsor one of the teams taking part by providing kits and printing. While a small gesture in the context of such an important cause, it was our way of showing solidarity with Harvey’s family, friends, and the wider community. On the day, one of the sponsored shirts was professionally framed and raffled to raise additional funds, while another was kept by Harvey’s parents as a cherished memento, a lasting reminder of the community’s love and support.

The charity football match was a powerful example of what can be achieved when communities come together. Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone involved, more than £7,000 was raised on the day. These funds will go directly toward helping Harvey’s Hub deliver its mission and make a real difference in the lives of young people.
