Job Overview

We are seeking an inspiring and influential Head of Energy & Utilities Recruitment to lead our expansion into new markets and enhance collaboration with our AEA division who already partner with several organisations in this space. This role offers the unique opportunity to build and shape your own recruitment team while driving our strategic objectives with the backing and support to realise your full potential. The ideal candidate will be a motivated salesperson with strong management capabilities and a strategic mindset.

About Us

Nicholas Associates Group has grown from expansion and diversification since its humble beginnings back in 1977.

Chairman, Nick Cragg, started the business specialising in recruiting for the Construction industry. With a true entrepreneurial spirit and an eye for seizing opportunities, Nick grew our Group,  moving into the temporary labour supply market by launching our Stafforce brand.

Through further expansion came the addition of Nicholas Associates Engineering, Technical and Manufacturing recruitment specialists, additionally our Group moved into Executive Search and Apprentice Employment. This expansion helped to reinforce our strength in the marketplace.

Our story progressed in 2016 by establishing Nicholas Associates Group, bringing together all of our specialist recruitment brands. Ashley Kate HR (Now Ashley Kate HR & Finance) and XL Graduates (Now Graduate Career Solutions) along with Main-Board Executive Search were acquired.

These acquisitions add to our impressive portfolio and help to bring our ambition to be the ‘UK’s market-leading partner of choice for talent management solutions, from Apprentice to Boardroom’ to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking recruitment strategy that aligns with our growth objectives in the Energy and Utilities sectors.
  • P&L Responsibility: Manage the operations P&L ensuring we are delivering a positive contribution to the group.
  • Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing recruitment team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Client Partnership: Oversee all stages of the recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing to hiring and onboarding and client aftercare.
  • Achieving Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets set for both you and your team, driving revenue growth.
  • Performance Analytics: Establish and monitor key recruitment metrics to evaluate the success of recruitment strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: No specific expectations
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of specialist recruitment experience, with leadership experience preferred.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities that truly inspire individuals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present and manage stakeholders.
  • Self-starter motivated by achieving sales targets.
  • Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Energy and Utilities sector and strategies to penetrate these markets.
